If only I knew back in 2017, out of my mom’s garage, what this would all become…

We set out early on to do something different in swag, we had a few early ideas how we’d do that, but we weren’t exactly sure at the time. However, we did know that we didn’t want it to look like anything that was already out there…and two and a half years later it’s clear that customers were desperate for a new experience too.

2019 was a transformative year for SwagUp. We more than doubled in all of the places that matter. Some exciting numbers, our team grew from 20 to 45, we eclipsed 8 figures in sales, we worked on over 1500 orders, we are approaching 1000 clients (who happen to be the most amazing, innovative startups and enterprise companies of tomorrow), and we created well over 100k swag packs that were delivered to nearly 120 different countries.

The rapid growth created some choppy times, as it always does, but it forced us to get smarter, stronger, and communicate on a much higher level, and as a result, we are light years beyond where we stood just 12 months ago.

As we move into 2020, we have so much planned. New tech, team members, positions, products, marketing efforts, partnerships, and super ambitious goals!

However, one of the things I’m most excited about for 2020 is this blog you’re reading right now. Since we started back in 2017, a blog was always in the plans, but we never had the bandwidth to really prioritize it and do it right. As a result, we’ve been super quiet, no newsletter, no blogs, no emails, basically no social media posts, just pure execution.

But now’s the time to pull the curtain back on what goes on over here and how we think. Our unique perspective on the world is what has fueled our growth to this point and it’s that same unique perspective that we hope to share here.

To be fair, I don’t know exactly where this is going to go, we’ve always taken a very customer-centric approach to things, so we’ll be incorporating your feedback and interests into how our content evolves.

Some themes/topics you can expect to start include:

  1. Vendor Spotlights – How we choose the products we do, what makes them special, and the people behind them.
  2. Case Studies – Covering all of the crazy ways people use our swag packs and tech.
  3. Swag Best Practices – Best swag for different use cases, how effective it is, cool ways to integrate, etc.
  4. Life at SwagUp – Updates from me or other leaders on what’s going on here, intros to our awesome team, future plans and announcements.
  5. Other Useful/Related Knowledge – Workplace trends, nurturing leads, customer success, building great teams, etc. and how swag ties into each of these.

I’m super excited to finally have an outlet to share our thoughts and useful/applicable insights with the SwagUp community and to be able to connect on a deeper level than we have in the past. Please let us know if there’s something specific you’d like to learn more about!

2020 will be a monumental year for SwagUp and we’re super lucky to have you on board with us. We’re just beginning to scratch the surface!

See you back here soon!
